New Telecaster added to Mick’s arsenal
But have no fear, he has no plans to ditch the old one.
Fender is world renowned for being one of the best guitar manufacturers in the world. Mick’s unique style has over the years been developed by the use of the old Fender Telecaster, which Mick has been using for almost his entire professional carer. This year Fender have been working on the “American Standard” range of instruments as part of their Make History™ campaign. As a part of this campaign, Fender have very kindly offered Mick one of their brand new Telecasters which Mick is itching to play. Keep checking this website for more updates and for more product info on the fantastic Fender “American Standard” range, see here.

Mick Green is an original guitarist that has become the cornerstone for British rock. Mick’s career started in 1962 when he joined “Johnny Kid & The Pirates”, after several chart-topping hits he then moved on to join “Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas” who he also enjoyed abundant success with. After the death of Johnny Kidd in 1966, Mick and fellow Pirates veterans Johnny Spence and Frank Farley reformed the Pirates and went on to rock many notorious venues, and record many legendary albums all over the world. As well as being part of the reformed trio, Mick is also called upon for session work. In 1999 after a previous recording stint with Paul McCartney, Paul asked him to join him on stage with Dave Gilmore at the illustrious Cavern gig. Since then Mick has appeared on seven Van Morrison Albums, two Bryan Ferry Albums and has toured in over 100 countries as well as appearing on a total of 2 Paul McCartney albums. Mick has also recently been asked to appear in European leg of the “Animals and Friends” 2009 tour. Mick also just made an appearance on five tracks of the latest Van Morrison Album “Keep It Simple”, the first Van Morrison album to enter straight into the US top ten.
